DO I NEED TO SET AN APPOINTMENT TO TOUR THE SCHOOL?
No, you do not need an appointment to tour the school. Anyone is welcome to come during our business hours; however we do recommend giving us a call before arriving.
DO I NEED A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO ATTEND HSOC?
Yes, a social security number or an authorization to work in the U.S. is required to attend the school.
WILL THIS BE PAID TRAINING?
While we have plenty of payment options to assist students who enroll in our programs, our students are not paid to attend our school.
WILL I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THE COURSES THAT I TAKE AT HSOC?
Houston School of Carpentry awards a Certificate of Completion to course completers.
DO WOMEN ATTEND HSOC?
Our school is open to anyone who is ready to learn.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO ATTEND?
If you are willing to learn, we are willing to train. Our only age requirement is that if a student is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the enrollment agreement.
DOES THE SCHOOL OFFER JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE?
Yes, we have a job placement team that works very hard to help our students join the workforce successfully. We also offer resume writing assistance.
DO I NEED A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA?
All prospective students need to have a High School Diploma, GED, or a passing score on the Wonderlic test.
